ABOUT
Agnes Ársælsdóttir’s (b. 1996) work explores mans relationship to their environment and other species. Their approach oscillates between intuition and analysis in a search for a new way of learning and connecting to each other with affection and radical care. They graduated BA from Iceland University of the Arts in 2018 and later that year they started their internship with Gérald Kurdian in Paris. Since then they have taken part in group exhibitions both in Iceland and abroad. Agnes has also participated in the international project United 1, run by UK Young Artists and Platform Nord, stayed in-residence at In Context in Slănic, Romania, and curated the exhibition Go! in The Nordic House along with Anna Andrea Winther.
Agnes is a part of the artist collective Ræktin, who recently made their debut at Sequences X 2021.
