ABOUT

Agnes Ársælsdóttir’s (b. 1996) is an artist and curator concerned with man's connection to their environment through techniques of artistic research and collaborative processes. Her practice is rooted in an interest in humans’ relationship to the more-than-human world, with urban, site-specific and participatory projects involving wild geese, pets and fauna in public parks. In recent years, Agnes’s practice has opened up to uninhabited locations and the natural powers that fuel the digital realm and our pathways to global connection.

Agnes graduated from the Iceland University of the Arts with a BA degree in Fine Art in 2018. In 2025 she graduated with a master's degree in curatorial studies from the University of Iceland. Her work has been exhibited both locally and internationally including Norway, the UK, and Romania. She currently works as a project manager at the Living Art Museum and a co-curator of Hamraborg Festival.
